Quickly rising New York City singer-songwriter Angela Elia has been compared to Adele meets Ingrid Michaelson, but two generations after Duke Ellington declared her great grandfather Paul Whiteman the “King of Jazz,” this soulful indie/folk artist is carving out her own space in the landscape of contemporary music with her honest poetic lyrics, evocative melodies, and powerful, angelic voice. Vibrant and warm, her music uplifts like a breath of fresh air.
